8. HOW WE USE AUTOMATIC DATA COLLECTION TOOLS

We use, and allow certain companies to use, cookies, web beacons, and other similar technologies (collectively “automatic data collection tools”) in   our services. We do this to understand how you use our services; improve your user experience and enable personalized features and content; optimize   our marketing efforts; and allow third-party advertising companies to help us deliver targeted advertisements based on your interests across the   Internet. You can find more information about automatic data collection tools at:   www.allaboutcookies.org.

Our use of cookies

Cookies are text files containing small amounts of information that are transferred to your device—more specifically, to the browser you use on that   device—when you visit a website. The entity that places the cookies in your browser can then read the information in the cookie it set. Cookies are   generally classified as “session cookies”, which do not remain on your device after closing your browser, or “persistent cookies”, which remain on   your device until you delete them or until they expire.

Different cookies are used for different purposes, which we explain below:

We use essential cookies – Some cookies are essential to enable you to navigate our websites and use their features, such as accessing secure   areas of the site. Without these cookies, we cannot deliver appropriate content based on the type of device you use.

We use cookies to remember your preferences – These cookies allow us to remember choices you make on our websites (such as your preferred   language or region) and offer enhanced, more personalized features. These cookies may also be used to remember changes you make to text size,   fonts, or other customizable parts of the website. They may also be used to provide requested services, such as watching a video or commenting on a   blog. The information collected by these cookies may be anonymized, and they cannot track your browsing activity outside our websites.

We use cookies to personalize your experience – We also use cookies to modify the behaviour or appearance of our websites to personalize your   experience based on information inferred from your behaviour on our sites or information we may already have about you (e.g., from being a registered   customer). These cookies may personalize the services you receive or the look and feel of future sessions on our websites. For example, if you   customize the site, a cookie helps the web server remember your specific settings. When you revisit our websites, the information you previously   provided can be retrieved so you can easily use the features you selected before.

We use cookies for performance and analytics – We use our own cookies and/or third-party cookies and other identifiers (such as web beacons)   to understand how you use our websites and services in order to improve performance and develop them according to customer and visitor preferences.   For example, cookies and web beacons may be used to test different designs, ensure a consistent look and feel across our sites, track and analyze   trends in user interactions, and identify errors.

Based on the above, we inform you that we currently use the following cookies:

9. OTHER AUTOMATIC DATA COLLECTION TOOLS

Where applicable, we request your consent for the use of cookies and other Automatic Data Collection Tools that store or access information on your   device.

Cookies

If you do not want to allow any cookies or only wish to allow certain cookies, check your browser settings. You can also use your browser settings   to withdraw your consent for our use of cookies at any time and delete cookies that have already been set. Your browser's help menu or the website   www.allaboutcookies.org contains comprehensive information about opting out in different browsers.

Note that disabling certain categories of cookies may prevent access to some features of our websites, or certain content or functionalities may   become unavailable.

If you have questions about our use of cookies, you can contact the data protection department.

Web beacons

Since web beacons function like any other content request included in a webpage, you cannot opt out or refuse them directly. However, you can   disable web beacons in email messages by not downloading images contained in the messages you receive (this feature varies depending on your email   software). However, doing so does not always disable a web beacon or other automatic data collection tools in the email due to specific capabilities   of email software. For more information, consult the documentation provided by your email software or service provider. Web beacons may also become   ineffective in some circumstances by opting out of cookies or changing your browser cookie settings.

Embedded web links

If you do not want us to collect information about the links you click on, you may:

  •     Change how you receive our communications (e.g., choose a text-based version of the message when available) or avoid clicking links in the emails     we send.

10. EXERCISING YOUR RIGHTS AND CONTACTING US

You have the right to access any personal data you have provided to us or that we hold about you. Additionally, you have the right to withdraw any   previously given consent or request the correction, modification, limitation, objection, anonymization, or deletion of your personal data and to   request an explanation about the processing. You also have the right to data portability and to not be subject to decisions made solely based on   automated processing. In certain cases, your request may be denied based on a legitimate exception, such as when providing the information would   reveal another person’s personal data or when we are legally prevented from disclosing such information.
